Welcome. Let's unpack.

21. I am 21 years old, a senior in college, an almost adult, and I am still very much in love with One Direction. Before I get too far into it, let's go back to the beginning...

I was a young, impressionable 13 year old when I first heard of the 5 boys who would soon steal my heart. I came across some clips of them singing on the UK X Factor via YouTube. Watching the videos, I didn't think much of it. The boys were cute and their voices weren't bad. However, my first mistake was that I kept watching and watching and watching. Soon, their names would come to me easy. Harry, Liam, Niall, Zayn, and Louis were about to become the highlight of my life.

One Direction took the world by storm when they debuted after placing 3rd on the UK X Factor in 2010. Even I was not safe. I soon started collecting magazines with their faces plastered all over the front. Their songs were on a loop on my iPod. I couldn't get over how fun they were. In their interviews they were goofy, spontaneous, and of course oh so cute. It felt so fun to be apart of the One Direction fandom, connecting with people online over our shared obsession with the group. Altogether it was just such a good time. 

There is obviously much more to be discussed, but I'll save all of that for my future posts.
